Selling a Cryostat
For a cryostat, provide the manufacturer, model, serial label, approximate age, and photos of the exterior, chamber, controls, and cutting area. If possible, include whether the unit powers on, cools, reaches and maintains temperature, and whether the microtome or cutting mechanism operates. Any known error messages, missing parts, or service issues should also be included.
Selling a Microscope
For microscopes, photograph the model label, eyepieces, objective turret, individual objective markings, stage, condenser, illumination, and any cameras or specialty optics. Objective configuration can have a meaningful effect on value.
Selling an Analyzer or Other Lab System
For analyzers and other powered laboratory equipment, include whether the unit powers on, the screen or initialization status, included barcode readers or accessories, any consumables or proprietary components, and whether sample testing has been completed.
